Kaysie Nelson

Secretary

The Lord was preparing Kaysie for serving at Life Foursquare Church before she even came to know Him. On the first day of 6th grade, she made a connection with a new student over their artsy folders. Seeing that they had the exact same schedule, the two became quick friends.
Two years later, this same friend invited Kaysie to an “Are You Ready?” youth conference at the high school hosted by several churches in Angleton. At the very first event, Kaysie accepted Jesus as her Savior. A few weeks later, her friend invited Kaysie to a Wednesday night youth group after which Life Church became her second home. Over the years, Kaysie has created beautiful friendships, served in many capacities, and even met the young man that would become her husband—all at Life Church.

High school sweethearts, Kaysie and Jady married in 2009. After a few years of infertility, God placed the desire to pursue foster care and adoption on their hearts. They met multiple families who had adopted children and were eager to share their stories. In August 2015, Lesly and Samantha came home to their forever family with Kaysie and Jady. That was quickly followed by newborn baby sister, Ginny, in December.

The family of 5 became official in April 2017, and the Nelsons have been growing and enjoying life ever since.
In the fall of 2019, Kaysie went back to school and completed a Certificate of Biblical Studies through Christ for the Nations Institute online. Kaysie loves being able to watch her family grow and serve at Life. All three girls have been incredibly impacted by the teachings they’ve received all the way from the nursery through the preschool department—and now in Life Kids. Jady serves as a sound engineer on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights with Life High while Kaysie can be found serving in many areas on the campus. Whether it’s the Sunday morning announcement video, Life High, Young Adults, PreK, or anywhere else, Kaysie thrives on opportunities to be used by the Lord.

Kaysie’s desire is to impact others with the peace and power of Jesus through everyday life. You can often find friends and Life High students playing games or watching movies at the Nelson’s home. It’s their heart to offer an environment where others find love, encouragement, and comfort.

Kaysie joined Life Foursquare Church staff as a secretary and receptionist in 2021.
